We affirm the right of all Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace, security, and justice. We call for an Immediate Ceasefire and End to the Killing as first steps toward this goal.
ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING 11/16/2023
Recently, we residents of Watertown and surrounding areas were shocked to learn that a human trafficking ring operating in numerous locations in the U.S. was also in our own city. As an organization that promotes social justice, we thank the federal and local officials who worked to shut this down and assist the victims and survivors. We look forward to seeing all responsible parties held to account.
As we have just seen, human trafficking can take place in any neighborhood, even the “nicest.” In addition to sex trafficking, there is also labor trafficking in such industries as hospitality and restaurants.
