Watertown Citizens is participating in a Global Day of Action on Sunday, March 6 by holding a local vigil from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in Watertown Square under the banner:
Stop the War in Ukraine
Russian Troops Out
No to NATO Expansion
The war in Ukraine is both a ongoing disaster for the people of Ukraine and Russia as well as a threat to all peoples of the world. Watertown Citizens condemns the Russian invasion and joins other pro-peace organizations in calling for an “immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, the speedy withdrawal of all Russian troops, and an immediate return to diplomatic negotiations”.
Please join us on Sunday as we join with others in a
Global Day of Action!
There will be poster boards and makers to make signs but if you can PLEASE BRING A SIGN. In addition to the messages for the Global Day of Action, consider the following:

- Diplomacy, Not War
- End the Bombing, Negotiate
- Return to Minsk II
- End the War, Negotiate
- Negotiation not Escalation
RALLY in BOSTON
If you are in Boston on Sunday, join the Rally sponsored by Massachusetts Peace Action and other groups at 1:00 PM at Park Street Station. There will be short presentations and music.
