The People Over Pentagon Act (H.R. 1134) – Ask Representative Clark to sign on!

There’s a real chance that the Pentagon budget will hit the $1 trillion mark in just a few years.

The budget for this year, FY2023, already clocks in at $858 billion. The United States spends more on its military than the next nine countries combined. Meanwhile, the Pentagon has never once passed an audit.

Yet year after year, lawmakers keep rubber-stamping ever-increasing Pentagon budgets. It’s madness, especially when some in Congress are calling for dramatic cuts to housing assistance, anti-poverty measures, and environmental protection programs.

Fortunately, new legislation was introduced this month that could help stop it. would cut just over 10% from the military budget—$100 billion in total—and redirect it towards key domestic needs.

Write Congress

Will you urge Rep. Clark to support this legislation?

Millions of people in our country struggle with hunger, homelessness, poverty, and rising healthcare costs. It’s time for Congress to prioritize their needs over the profits of big corporate arms suppliers.

By redirecting just a fraction of the military budget, lawmakers can do exactly that. Urge Rep. Clark to prioritize people over the Pentagon!
