#ResistTrump !! #OccupyInauguration !!
Trump’s victory in the presidential election was a profound shock to tens of millions of progressive workers, young people, immigrants, women, people of color, Muslims, and LGBTQ people across the U.S. As Trump’s reactionary cabinet appointments have been announced and the list of targets of his administration has become clearer, there is enormous fear and anger in many communities.
The reported plans to deport up to three million people, establish a “registry” for Muslims, criminalize dissent, and nominate a Supreme Court justice who will vote to overturn Roe v. Wade and shred union rights in the public sector are not idle threats.
Trump has made his intentions clear and we cannot wait until after he takes office to start building resistance to his reactionary policies. To win victories we have to immediately begin building a mass movement based on grassroots unity of working people and organizations, not unity with the political establishment, and free of corporate influence. Join us on Inauguration Day in Boston as we say:
-Make Boston a Sanctuary City! Stop the deportations of undocumented immigrants!
-Black Lives Matter! End police brutality and mass incarceration!
-Stop the Dakota Access Pipeline — green jobs now!
-Fight sexism, rape culture, and all attacks on women!
-Full rights for all LGBTQ people!
-Tax the super rich like Trump! Fund healthcare for all! Make college free!
