Dear Friends and Allies,
Each year, Massachusetts sends $130 million to Israel as part of the $3.8 billion the US government sends to support Israel’s military. They use that money to destroy Palestinian communities, imprison Palestinian children, kill Palestinian people, bomb Gaza, etc.
We are asking our MA Congressional Delegation to insist that US aid to Israel is conditioned on its human rights record, in compliance with US law. We want to keep our tax dollars to address our state’s priorities in housing, education, and healthcare, etc. We don’t want to support the profit-making of the US military-industrial complex. Israel buys weapons from the US , Raytheon in MA, with the $3.8 billion that continues the oppression of the Palestinian people.
The Alliance is making a push to get this message across. We’re beginning regular stand-outs around Boston and Cambridge to highlight this issue with banners and fliers and to communicate with local residents. We are also scheduling meetings with our legislators to talk about this issue. We’ll keep folks informed of our times/places as we move forward.
