Filmmaker Shukree Hassan Tilghman sets off on a cross-country campaign to end Black History Month. His insightful and humorous journey explores the complexity and contradictions of relegating an entire group’s history to one month in a so-called “post-racial” America.

This month we will have a panel of four, including members of our own Watertown community, to both share their thoughts on the film and participate in large/small group discussions. We hope you can join us and will help us spread the word.

This film screening is part of the Watertown Race Reels Film Series, in collaboration with the Watertown Boys & Girls Club. Watertown Race Reels Film Series is a project of Watertown Community for Black Lives, a working group of Watertown Citizens for Peace, Justice and Environment. This event is funded by a grant provided by the Watertown Community Foundation and the WFPL.
