Please join us for a special presentation of the Nobel Peace Prize being awarded to Nihon Hidankyo, the Japanese Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Survivors. Dr. Joseph Gerson, who was honored for his many years of work with the hibakusha by being a member of the delegation in Oslo, will provide a deeply moving presentation about the award ceremony and the commitment and dedication of the members of Nihon Hidankyo. Dr. Gerson, the Executive Director of the Campaign for Peace, Disarmament, and Common Security and a Watertown resident, will also address the importance of local communities working to build a resilient grassroots movement for nuclear abolition. Members of Watertown Citizen's Peace and Common Security Working Group will speak about their efforts to have the Watertown City Council pass a Back from the Brink resolution calling for nuclear disarmament.
