Photos by Josh Touster of the Tuesday, June 2 vigil in Watertown Square for George Floyd and Black Lives and in witness of the disproportionate impact of COVID19 on people and communities of color in the US. The turnout and the powerful peaceful energy of this crowd – much larger than our regular 2nd-Tuesday vigils – was so moving and inspiring. I hope more people in Watertown and neighboring towns will share their anti-racism work and goals with WCBL and join us in ours, not only for vigils, but for ongoing actions to identify and change the structures that uphold structural racism in our communities.
