Under a state law passed in July 2021, voting by mail in Massachusetts will be allowed in all local and state elections through December 15, 2021. You do not need to have an excuse to cast an early ballot by mail. You do need to request a ballot.
To apply to vote by mail, complete the Vote by Mail Application, which is available here.
To return your application on paper, mail it to the Watertown Town Clerk, drop it off at Town Hall, or use the drop box between the Library and Town Hall.
To return your application electronically, fax it to 617-972-6595, or email the Town Clerk here.
Make sure to apply as early as possible. The U.S. Postal Service recommends allowing up to 7 days for ballot delivery in each direction.
