Five sessions starting May 20 Wednesdays 7-8:30 PM ET With lots of visuals, like this one from VISUALIZING PALESTINE (One of the groups presenting in the P/I 101) and lots of interaction, join us in building community, power, and knowledge during this time of distancing.
We invite you to become part of a group of activists and aspiring activists of multiple faiths in exploring the history and politics of Israeli apartheid in JVP Boston's newly minted VIRTUAL Introduction to Palestine/Israel. The anticipated start date will be Wednesday May 20.
We have consolidated the course to FIVE sessions, Wednesdays, from 7:00-8:30 pm. (May 20, May 27, June 3, June 10, June 17).* Facilitators will include Palestinians, Jews, activists, educators, and artists. The course will be interactive, visual and participatory.

Topics will include: Zionism; Israel's founding/the Nakba; the occupation in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza; the role of the U.S. government; the Peace Process; the history of Palestinian resistance; and how you can get involved and make a difference – including participating in Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS), legislative action, the Deadly Exchange, and more!
Location: Online, wherever you are able to connect but space is limited to ensure an interactive classroom atmosphere. We will prioritize Massachusetts residents. Cost: Sliding scale (pay what you can) $0–75+ Registration deadline: Friday, April 24 We ask that each participant commit to attending all workshops. Missing one workshop is okay, but not the first. 🙂
