Melinda Dennis, a resident of Watertown and board member of Watertown Community Gardens, will share lessons learned from her second season of gardening in her bump-out: the mistakes, the wins, her plant choices, and useful resources for turning a neglected strip of poor soil or grass into a native plant oasis that provides haven for bees, butterflies, insects.

She'll be joined by Ellen Menounos, Assistant Environmental Planner of Newton, who will provide information and resources on native plants.

Sharon Bauer, Watertown organic gardener and member of Friends of Bees, will provide information on the invasive Asian Jumping Worm that has been impacting local gardens, including steps you can take to prevent infestation.

The event will be held online via Zoom and registration is free.  All are welcome!
