At Saltonstall Park
149 Main Street, Watertown, MA
We are please to announce that we are partnering with the Community Encampment for Palestine (CEP) and many other organizations to host PALESTINE COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND FESTIVAL in Watertown on TOMORROW, Sunday, October 18 from 12 noon to 6:00 PM at Saltonstall Park.
Palestine, its history, culture and resistance, will take center stage at an outdoor community educational festival planned for Sunday October 18 in downtown Watertown. More than 30 speakers, discussion leaders, musicians, dancers, organizations, and craft persons will gather in Saltonstall Park, next to Watertown City Hall at 149 Main Street, from noon to 6:00 pm.
Organizers see the festival as a chance for visitors to enrich their understanding of Palestine’s history and current circumstances while sampling a bit of Palestinian artistry, music and cuisine. There will be speakers from Gaza Soup Kitchen, MTA Rank and File for Palestine, and Doctors Against Genocide as well as music and dance performances from the Hawa Collective and the Boston Dabke Troupe. In addition, there will be small group discussions from Together for an Inclusive Massachusetts and the Red Ribbon Campaign.
The afternoon is sponsored by Watertown Citizens for Peace, Justice and the Environment, Community Encampment for Palestine, Massachusetts Peace Action Education Fund, Alliance for Water Justice in Palestine, Needham for Palestine, Arlington for Palestine, Medford for Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace-Boston.
