𝐌.𝐕. 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚 is the Simons Chair in Disarmament, Global and Human Security and Director of the Liu Institute for Global Issues at the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs. The author of The Power of Promise: Examining Nuclear Energy in India, he is a member of the International Panel on Fissile Materials , the Canadian Pugwash Group , the International Nuclear Risk Assessment Group , and the team that produces the annual World Nuclear Industry Status Report.

 

𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐨 is the Executive Director of Cape Downwinders, a Cape Cod volunteer community grassroots organization with the mission to investigate, educate, and agitate for protection of the people and environment from ongoing threats to communities from Holtec-Pilgrim’s decommissioning plans and nuclear waste dump at the site in Plymouth. After meeting Dr. Helen Caldicott in 1981, Diane began working to end nuclear weapons and nuclear power that continues today. She is currently working to confront Holtec’s plans to dump radioactive water into Cape Cod Bay.

 

𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐳 is the Executive Director of Citizens Awareness Network, a non-profit volunteer, grassroots regional organization fighting for clean air, democracy, and environmental justice in New England. CAN was instrumental in the closure of nuclear reactors in MA, VT and CT. Along with other CAN members, she functions as a prose litigator for the organization in Nuclear Regulatory Commissions interventions and won lawsuits forcing enhanced clean up standards at nuclear facilities.

 

𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐀. 𝐊𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 is a co-founder and current director of Nuclear Energy Information Service (NEIS), which provides the public with information about radiation hazards, and alternatives to nuclear power. An award-winning, life-long nuclear activist, he co-founded and organized of EarthDay ’90 Chicago. He has served on the boards of multiple environmental organizations and citizen advisory groups in Illinois as well as the national Nuclear Waste Citizens Coalition. He co-founded the Radiation Monitoring Project that provides professional training for front-line, contaminated communities, especially on Indigenous lands. He was an invited presenter at President Obama’s Blue Ribbon Commission on America’s Nuclear Future in 2010.
