Our March Monthly Meeting will feature a presentation by Janis Hudson, a member of the Steering Committee of Watertown Forward and a facilitation by Watertown Citizen member, Abby Yanow.

Watertown Forward is a non-partisan civic action group whose mission is to educate, empower, and engage the Watertown community in Watertown's Charter Review process. They have been working diligently since the fall to make the Charter Review a meaningful process for all Watertown residents. Ms. Hudson will describe the organization's efforts and explain how residents can make a difference in the Charter Review.
During the second half of the meeting, Watertown Citizens' member, Abby Yanow will facilitate a discussion of our values and how such an exercise can lead to common ground and priorities for possible Charter changes.
Watertown's Charter Review Committee
Watertown's Charter Review gives us an opportunity to change our town government in ways that create greater transparency and responsiveness. This could lead to greater social justice and a more sustainable environment. You can follow these meetings and more by using links on the town Charter Review Committee (CRC) here. Watertown Forward
Watertown Forward is a community organization that seeks to expand the number of voices in the Charter Review process via a series of events designed to educate, empower, and engage residents. Get on their email list for entertaining and informative Charter ReCaps of the Charter Review Committee meetings, valuable links, how to get involved, and the dates of Charter Chats which take place on the Sunday following the CRC meeting. The next Charter Chart will take place on Sunday, March 21. The Chats provide an opportunity to share your thoughts, hear what others have to say, and begin to formulate ideas for how the Charter should be changed. A NEW SURVEY for WATERTOWN RESIDENTS
After much effort, group input, and testing, Watertown Forward has designed an important Survey that will provide useful information about what residents’ think about Town services, about communication with Town officials, about whether one’s vision and values are reflect in Town, and more.
