As part of our effort to commemorate the 75 anniversary of horrific, indiscriminate killing of the men, women, and children of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Watertown Citizens is collecting signatures that will be submitted to the United Nations.
Initiated by hibakusha, the survivors of the bombings, the Appeal reads as follows –
Earnestly desiring the elimination of nuclear weapons without delay, we, the Hibakusha, call on al State Governments to conclude a treaty to ban and eliminate nuclear weapons.
