Vigil to remember Stephon Clark

With the recent event in Sacramento, the police killing of an unarmed black man – Stephon Clark, we thought it would be appropriate to gather for a vigil this coming Tuesday, March 27th from 5:30 until 6:30 in Watertown Square.
Stephon Clark was gunned down by police in his grandparent’s back yard while raising up his hands as instructed by the police. He had a cellphone in his hand. As he lay on the ground dying, it took officers over 7 minutes to administer any medical care. His grandmother saw this happen from her kitchen window.
Let’s join together to raise awareness of how black and brown men and women are treated at the hands of the police in the country and to remember Stephon Clark, the latest unarmed black man to be killed by the police.
Time: Tuesday, March 27th, 5:30-6:30
Where: Watertown Square
What to bring: Yourself and a sign if you have one
Peace…..
