Tony, I cannot really tell what her opinion is here. You and others may have received a similar response. (Trying to cover all bases, but not committing to anything.) Diana

Dear Ms. Barlow,

Thank you for contacting me to express your thoughts regarding H.Res. 77 and legislation to embrace the goals and provisions of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. I appreciate you taking the time to share your position on this issue.

Nuclear weapons represent an existential threat to all life on this planet. While geopolitical realities may prevent us from completely eliminating these weapons today, we must constantly strive to minimize the danger they pose.

H.Res. 77 was introduced by Representative James McGovern on January 31, 2023, and was referred to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. This resolution would express the sense of Congress that the President of the United States should prioritize nuclear disarmament as a national security measure.

Please know that I appreciate you bringing H.Res. 77 to my attention, and I will keep your thoughts in mind should this legislation be brought to the House Floor for a vote.

Again, thank you for voicing your concerns, and please do not hesitate to contact me in the future if I may be of assistance. Also, you can stay up to date on my work for the 5th District by following me on Facebook<https://iqconnect.house.gov/iqextranet/iqClickTrk.aspx?&cid=MA05KC&crop=13839QQQ28198242QQQ6266011QQQ722001&report_id=&redirect=https%3a%2f%2fwww.facebook.com%2fRepKClark%2f+&redir_log=688071395933242>, Twitter<https://iqconnect.house.gov/iqextranet/iqClickTrk.aspx?&cid=MA05KC&crop=13839QQQ28198242QQQ6266011QQQ722001&report_id=&redirect=https%3a%2f%2ftwitter.com%2fRepKClark&redir_log=26952549995203>, and my official website<https://iqconnect.house.gov/iqextranet/iqClickTrk.aspx?&cid=MA05KC&crop=13839QQQ28198242QQQ6266011QQQ722001&report_id=&redirect=https%3a%2f%2fkatherineclark.house.gov%2f&redir_log=801417516504232>.
