[Peace] DRAFT of a petition to Representative Clark

Hi Jeremy and Anna,

I hope this email finds you well.  During an email exchange with Jeremy a
while back I said I would draft a petition that we here in Watertown might
use to gather signatures urging Representative Katherine Clark to endorse
and sponsor H.Res.77.  (We are still trying to work out the details of a
possible visit to her local office.)

Please find attached two versions of the petition. When time allows, can
both of you take a look and if you have any suggestions, please share
them.  Personally, I like the shorter version, but the longer version
includes the steps advocated by BftB.  Please be brutally honest!

Finally, we are looking at a September program tentatively titled, "The
State of Nuclear Weapons and Why It is Time to Act" with Ms.Denise
Duffield, the BftB & PSR-LA, the leaders you suggested in our earlier
exchanges.  Anna, maybe we can work on this together?  Much more work to do
on this budding idea, but hoping to involve as many nuclear disarmament and
abolition groups as possible along the way.

Thanks again for considering my request.  I know you are both very busy so
anything you can do would be greatly appreciated.
