and anti-war movements around the world have called for a ceasefire and
negotiations to end the Ukraine War. Pope Frances, President Lula of Brazil
have echoed that call, while China has called for a ceasefire and put
forward its peace proposal. Yet the deadly and devastating war goes on.
Join leading U.S. and European peace movement leaders to get their takes on
what and who will be needed to stop the fighting and begin
Ukrainian-Russian peace negotiations.
*Phyllis Bennis* directs the New Internationalism Project at the Institute
for Policy Studies, focusing on Middle East, U.S. wars and UN issues. She
is also a fellow of the Transnational Institute in Amsterdam. Her books
include Challenging Empire: How People, Governments and the UN Defy U.S.

*Reiner Braun* is former executive director and president of the
International Peace Bureau. He has began in the peace movement in 1982
working on the Krefeld Appeal against nuclear weapons. He is a founding
member of the International Network of Engineers and Scientists for Global
Responsibility (INES) and served as executive director of the German
section of the International Association of Lawyers against Nuclear Arms.
He is recently returned from Moscow, where he met with members of the
Russian elite and war opponents.
*Ludo De Brabander* is a Belgian writer and spokesman for the Belgian peace
organization Vrede vzw and a member of the No to War/No to NATO Steering
Committee. He writes opinion pieces for Vrede, Uitpers, Knack.be, De
Wereldmorgen and Mo.
