<div dir="ltr">Sue-Ellen,<div><br><div>Thanks for the response from your meeting. Glad there is interest in doing a program with the two working groups. It is unfortunate that we are stumbling over each others' programs! Will think about an early July Sunday evening date and run it by WFCC and others in P&CS. Might just take the September monthly meeting for the event, and push the PSR on a Sunday in late September. Let's coordinate about October, since we are looking at a Library date for the film showing of BOYCOTT and RSG is looking at a livestream author talk. It is pretty clear that WC will most likely have two events in September and October.</div><div><br clear="all"><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr">Tony</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Wed, Apr 26, 2023 at 10:52 PM Sue-Ellen Hershman-Tcherepnin via Steering <<a href="mailto:steering@watertowncitizens.org">steering@watertowncitizens.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex">Hi, Tony - All great topics! <br>
FYI, at tonight’s RSG mtg, people were enthusiastic about co- sponsoring a forum with P&CS and CPC Ctr in the fall! We’ll just need to sort out dates, as we’re planning a library-sponsored livestream author talk in early Oct. (date not set yet).<br>

As for your June 21 proposal, RSG will be busy working to get lots of people to attend our June 22 Syrian art exhibit reception (6-8pm) in the Savings Bank Rm at the library. We were already concerned about scheduling it so soon after the annual meeting, but confirmed it really needs to be that week, which is U.N.-designated World Refugee Week. <br>
<br>
For those 2 reasons, I don’t think Jan 21 is such a good idea for yet another WCPJE event. <br>

Our presenters would be the folks for Veterans for Peace who have a program dedicated to this topic. I will be in touch with the Vets to confirm the date. I would like to get the OK soon so we can do some Save the Date notices to 350 Mass and MAPA.<br>

We are also looking at a September program, either the September monthly meeting or a Sunday evening meeting with Boston Physicians for Social Responsibility on the nuclear weapons/war, with a speaker from Back from the Brink out of CA. Finally, P&CS has approached the RSG working group to team up on a program on the Militarization of Border Communities (title of a recent report) with the folks at the Progressive Congressional Caucus Center. The RSG is discussing this invitation to work with P&CS on such a program at their meeting tonight. If they are interested we would be looking at the fall.<br>

Clark asking her to sign on to H.Res. 77 (about the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons) and we would like to get signatures on-line. Any folks know how to do this or where to start to learn how?<br>
